21st Meeting of the Board of Director of Asian Ombudsman Association was  held in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan on 30th October, 2018, The meeting was chaired by Syed Tahir Shahbaz, Federal Ombudsman of Pakistan and President of Asian Ombudsman Association.  Mr. Abdul Khaliq, Executive Secretary of the AOA Secretariat, coordinated the meeting. The President, AOA and Executive Secretary of AOA also visited the Milli Majlis Azerbaijan (National Assembly) on Ist November, 2018

18 October, 2018: President Dr Arif Alvi said Federal Insurance Ombudsman has an important role in provision of justice to the people. The President stated this in a meeting with Federal Insurance Ombudsman Muhammad Raees Uddin Paracha here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr . President Alvi said use of information technology could help improve the performance and efficiency of the institution of Federal Insurance Ombudsman. He said consumers should be given proper information about their right to appeal in case of rejection of claim.
