REPUBLIC OF KOREA   AACRC AND PUBLIC PROCUREMENT SERVICE JOIN HANDS TO CREATE A FAIR AND TRANSPARENT PUBLIC PROCUREMENT MARKET.

The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC, Chairperson Ryu Chul Whan) signed an MOU on Oct. 2 with the Public Procurement Service (Administrator Baek Seung-bo) at the PPS main conference room, Government Daejeon Complex Building 3, to establish an integrity-driven public procurement market and enhance integrity of private procurement companies.

REPUBLIC OF KOREA   ACRC DETECTED 11 FORMER PUBLIC OFFICIALS DISMISSED FOR CORRUPTION IN ILLEGAL EMPLOYMENT AND REQUESTED DISMISSAL AND CRIMINAL REFERRAL.

The Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC, Chairperson Ryu Chul Whan) has carried out an inspection into the employment status of 1,612 public officials in the first half of this year, who were dismissed for corruption while serving in public institutions or were sentenced to fines of 3 million won or more after leaving office for corruption-related acts (hereinafter “dismissed-for-corruption officials”) within the past five years. As a result of the inspection, the Commission found 11 individuals who violated employment restriction regulations.

PAKISTAN   FEDERAL OMBUDSMAN INSPECTION TEAM EXPRESSES SERIOUS CONCERN OVER POOR CONDITION OF WARDS, LACK OF CLEANLINESS IN PIMS HOSPITAL.

Islamabad: 18 November 2025 – Federal Ombudsman’s Inspection Team, which visited the PIMS Hospital here today, expresses its serious concern over the appalling state of affairs prevailing in the federal capital’s main Hospital especially the lack of cleanliness and unhygienic conditions in the wards and directed the hospital administration to initiate urgent remedial measures for arresting the declining trends.

At the initiative of Azerbaijani Ombudsperson Sabina Aliyeva and in partnership with the United Nations, a roundtable was convened in Baku to discuss “Enhancing collaboration in the development of a National Action Plan on Business and Human Rights.” The event brought together staff from the Ombudsman’s Office, representatives of relevant government agencies, business organizations, and civil society organizations.

Dili, 7 November 2025 – Provedor for Human Rights and Justice, Virgílio da Silva Guterres ‘Lame hosted a meeting with Eletricidade de Timor-Leste (EDTL) leadership, including Executive Commission President Paulo da Silva and his technical team, to discuss the findings from PDHJ’s recent surprise inspection of the electricity supply in Atauro, which currently operates for only 18 hours per day.

OMBUDSMAN PUNJAB (PAKISTAN)   EFFECTIVE ACTIONS BY PUNJAB OMBUDSMAN’S OFFICE ON OVERPRICING, VIOLATION OF OFFICIAL RATES, AND SALE OF SUBSTANDARD GOODS.

The Office of the Ombudsman Punjab launched a comprehensive crackdown against overpricing, adulteration, and the sale of substandard or unsafe food items. A series of public complaints to the Ombudsman Office resulted in the immediate inspection across Punjab.

TATARSTAN   PROBLEMS OF SCHOOL GOING CHILDREN RESOLVED POSITIVELY.

The Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tatarstan received an application from a resident of the village of Vysoka Gora – citizen N. The applicant told about the difficulties faced by families living in the residential complex «Atmosphere». Thus, due to the lack of a school bus driver, children were not able to get to school and the construction of a road directly connecting the residential complex with the educational institution was postponed.

On November 12, 2025, the Public Defender of Georgia, Levan Ioseliani, participated in the international conference held in Baku – “The Constitution and the Rule of Law in Modern Legal Systems”. Speaking at the event, Levan Ioseliani noted that as a result of the Public Defender’s appeals, many laws and subordinate acts have come into compliance with the Constitution, however, it is important to carefully analyze the situation in this area.

JAKARTA, Indonesia, 20 November 2025 – In a significant step to strengthen bilateral ties, the human rights institutions of Timor-Leste and Indonesia have signed two pivotal cooperation agreements set for a two-year duration. The Ombudsman for Human Rights and Justice of Timor-Leste (PDHJ), represented by its Executive Secretary, Ambrosio Graciano Soares, and the National Commission on Human Rights of Indonesia (KOMNAS HAM), represented by its General Secretary, Henry Silka Innah, formalized the partnership.

On November 20 and 21, 2025, the Public Defender of Georgia, Levan Ioseliani, held a meeting with members of the Council of National Minorities and representatives of national minorities at the Public Defender’s Office.
