MIC-JAPAN   Result of Appeal for Opinions on Report from Study Subcommittee on Securing Broadcasting in Times of Disaster under the Study Group on Various Issues over Broadcasting

The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications (MIC) organized the Study Subcommittee on Securing Broadcasting in Times of Disaster (chaired by Hitoshi Mitomo Dean and Professor, Graduate School of Asia-Pacific Studies, Waseda University) under the Study Group on Various Issues over Broadcasting (chaired by Kazuteru Tagaya, Professor Emeritus at Chiba University). Since then, the Study Subcommittee has been researching the securing of broadcasting in times of disaster because considerable damage has occurred in various places due to frequent disasters, including heavy rain and typhoons in recent years.

UZBEKISTAN   Analysis of appeals received to the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) regarding personal rights and freedoms (within 6 months of 2020)

During 6 months of this year, the Commissioner received a total of 6484 appeals from citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan, citizens of foreign states and ombudsmen, stateless persons, public organizations and other legal entities. (within 6 months of 2019 6422).
Of these, 460 – at a personal reception, 115 – on-site receptions, 2,557 – by mail and telegraph communication, 929 – by the “Helpline”, 1,455 – through the Ombudsman’s Virtual Reception, and 45 – through the Virtual Reception of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan and 923 – via the Internet portal www.pm.gov.uz.
