Mr. Ajaz Ali Khan, Provincial Ombudsman, Sindh, Pakistan has been elected as Director of International Ombudsman Institute (IOI) for the Asian Region. He was elected as Director (Asia) at the election of two Asian Directors for the IOI Board of Directors.

Mr Somsak Suwansujarit, Chief Ombudsman of Thailand, has been elected as Asian Director. He will join Ms Hyun-Heui Jeon, Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission (ACRC) Korea, Mr Shahnawaz Tariq, Provincial Ombudsman Sindh for the Protection of Women against Harassment at the Workplace (Pakistan) and Mr. Ajaz Ali Khan, Provincial Ombudsman Sindh, Pakistan to represent the Asian Region on the IOI Board.
