PAKISTAN A Seminar on “Public Awareness and Launch of  New Website and Mobile App” held on 02.05.2019 at Aiwan-e-Sadr.

A Seminar on “Public Awareness and Launch of  New Website and Mobile App” was organised by Wafaqi Mohtasib(Federal Ombudsman Pakistan) Secretariat on 02.05.2019 at Aiwan-e-Sadr. The objective of the event was to increase outreach of the ombudsman Institution for the benefits of general public.  President, Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Dr Arif Alvi , while addressing the seminar, said that only those nations could achieve success, which stood against the oppression and injustices in the society, particularly against their destitute people.

PAKISTAN President appreciates FTO’s role in resolving tax payers’ complaints

ISLAMABAD: Hon’ble President Dr Arif Alvi said that the Federal Tax Ombudsman (FTO) was playing an important role in resolving complaints of the people against the decisions of tax collecting authorities.
The President said this while talking to Federal Tax Ombudsman Mushtaq Ahmad Sukhera, who called on him on Ist April, 2019 at the Aiwan-i-Sadr to present the annual report (2018)

ARMENIA Director of mental health care centre strictly reprimanded based on Human Rights Defender’s findings

The director of the “Dzorak” mental health care centre has been strictly reprimanded by the Minister of Labor and Social Affairs for his improper performance. The reprimand was based on the shortcomings and violations recorded by the Human Rights Defender during a monitoring visit conducted in the mentioned centre.

PAKISTAN Ombudsman Directs to Set Up E-Pension System. E-Pension System Should Also Be Replicated in Provinces

Syed Tahir Shahbaz, the Federal Ombudsman, has directed the Controller General of Accounts and AGPR to set up an E-Pension System at an early date and connect all federal government departments with it. He also directed the representatives of ministries and departments to initiate pension cases 15 months prior to the date of superannuation of an employee. He chaired a high level meeting to simplify the pension system through automation in the federal government departments.
