On 28th August 2020, Ombudsman Thailand (OMT) led by General Viddhavat Rajatanun, Chief Ombudsman, hosted and witnessed the Signing Ceremony for the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) of “Natural Disaster Notification Service on Mobile Networks” between public authorities and mobile phone service providers, including Meteorological Department, Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, Advance Wireless Network Company Limited, Dtac TriNet Company Limited, True Move H Universal Communication Company Limited, CAT Telecom Public Company Limited and TOT Public Company Limited, at Exhibition Hall, Ratthaprasasanabhakti Building (Building B) Government Complex, Bangkok.

THAILAND    Chief Ombudsman attended the webinar held by the Office of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia

On 23rd September 2020 at the conference room 902, Office of the Ombudsman, Gen. (Ret.) Viddhavat Rajatanun, Chief Ombudsman, the executives, and staff attended the online-seminar (webinar) on the topic “Mainstreaming Discrimination as Maladministration and the Role of the Ombudsman”, which is held by the Office of the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia. In this regard, the Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia (ORI) is a member of the bilateral Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Ombudsman of Thailand (OMT).

The Ombudsperson, Sabina Aliyeva held an online meeting with the officials of the Anti-discrimination Department of the Council of Europe. The purpose of the meeting was to assess the state of implementation of the EU/CoE Eastern Partnership Project on “Strengthening access to justice through non-judiciary redress mechanisms for victims of discrimination, hate crime and hate speech in EP countries” at the national level with the purpose to increase the accessibility for vulnerable groups of population in accordance with the international standards
