FEDERAL OMBUDSMAN OF PAKISTAN Centeral Directorate of National Savings (CDNS) digitized all saving centers (376) under Ombudsman’s instructions.

The Federal Ombudsman Pakistan, Syed Tahir Shahbaz, taking cognizance of the difficulties of senior citizens and widows had directed Director General CDNS to facilitate senior citizens, widows and pensioners as per banking standards which has now been implemented. He was chairing a high level meeting to review the progress on CDNS Reforms Report issued by the Wafaqi Mohtasib Secretariat(WMS).

FEDERAL TAX OMBUDSMAN OF PAKISTAN Online Training on Operations and Complaint Management Process

The Second Training Session of OICOA (at Staff Level) was held on 27th of January 2021 in pursuance of “Building Communication Network” among all the Ombudsman Institutions. The training was basically on the awareness about Federal Tax Ombudsman Pakistan. The session covered Synopsis of The Federal Tax Ombudsman Institution of Pakistan, Overview of the Complaints Management System/Process and types of decisions and receipt/disposal of complaints.

The Public Defender welcomes the readiness of Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau to comply with the Public Defender’s recommendation and employ female experts in the regional departments of the Bureau in order to create an equal and dignified environment for female victims of sexual violence, as well as to conduct trainings for the staff of Tbilisi and regional offices on the psychological aspects of proper communication with victims of sexual violence.

REPUBLIC OF TURKEY Chief Ombudsman of Turkey was Re-elected to the Post.

Mr. Şeref Malkoç has been re-elected as Chief Ombudsman of Turkey by the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey on 11 November 2020. Mr Malkoç, a 60-year-old prominent lawyer and former member of the Parliament, was sworn in on the 1st of December 2020 at the Parliament.
