HONG KONG – CHINA Office of The Ombudsman announces results of direct investigation into Government’s handling of misconnection of private building sewers to stormwater collection systemThe Ombudsman, Ms Winnie Chiu, today (29 March) announced the completion of a direct investigation into the Government’s handling of misconnection of private building sewers to the stormwater collection system (referred to as “sewer misconnection”) and has made eight recommendations for improvement having regard to the inadequacies found on the part of the Buildings Department (BD) and the Environmental Protection Department (EPD). |

REPUBLIC OF AZERBAIJAN The President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mr. IlhamAliyev signed an Order “On pardoning a number of convicts”Taking into account health, marital status of the convicts, the nature and degree of public danger of the crimes they committed, the length of their sentences and their behavior during that period, in total 625 people on 8 items were pardoned according to the Presidential Order “On pardoning a number of convicts”. |
