THE EXPERIENCES OF 109 PEOPLE IN THE OFFICE OF THE OMBUDSMAN HAVE BEEN CONCLUDED.

The production and scientific-research experiences of those studying at the Office of the Commissioner for Human Rights (Ombudsman) of the Republic of Azerbaijan have ended.
On the first day of the internship, the management officials of the institution met with the students and undergraduates, brought to their attention the general rules related to the experience in the Office of the Ombudsman, and talked about the projects implemented by the Office of the Ombudsman, which operates in cooperation with state institutions, civil society institutions, international organizations, including higher education institutions.
During the internship, which consisted of a theoretical and practical part, practitioners were given detailed information about the essence of human rights and freedoms, legal reforms carried out in the direction of ensuring human rights in Azerbaijan, the legal basis of the creation and operation of the Ombudsman institution, which is an out-of-court legal protection mechanism, the structure of the Office, the investigation of complaints, the procedure for preparing relevant survey projects, the process of receiving complainants and other issues.
Later, it was emphasized that the Ombudsman’s mandate has been expanded, and his authority to implement the functions of an independent mechanism for the implementation of the “Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities” and the “Convention on the Rights of the Child”, the promotion of ensuring the right to equality and the prevention of discrimination, as well as monitoring.
It should be noted that for the 2024/2025 academic year, 109 students of the Faculty of Law of Baku State University in Human Rights and Medical Law specializations, as well as students of the specialty of Jurisprudence, students of Azerbaijan University of Languages, Nakhchivan State University, Western Caspian University, Baku Eurasian University and Khazar University, have undergone production and scientific research experience at the Office of the Ombudsman.
